Go down lake (north towards dam) until you find clear water and put out some submersible lights at night. = Crappie trip of a lifetime for the young soldier.

Good luck and have fun.

I was down last weekend. Fished pretty much the whole Little Sac Arm. The water was prety clean on the main lake and the mouths of coves. About 1/2 way back the water was definately getting muddy. Up around the dam there was some very clean water everywhere. I haven't been on Stockton a lot but I would guess that even with all the rain you will still be able to find some cleaner water. It's coming up in a hurry, not sure what that will do to them (or if they'll start pulling water).

We caught all of our fish in the back half of creeks/coves. All of our fish were right in front of the bushes in pretty shallow water - fish in a couple of feet and boat in 3-4 foot of water.

Good luck, hope you have a good trip!

fished stockton today. put in at cedar bluff ran toward high point water was getting muddy about1/2 mile before high point. tried for crappie only got one keeper. went back to maze creek and water was clear till back of maze creek. caught a nice bass on spbait. no crappie. went across to masters caught one crappie but bunch of short bass. to sum it up water was clear above high point but 56 degrees up three to four feet with most of buckbrush covered. if water doesn't warm up i would go bass fishing. bass on points in and around the cover should have no problem catching a bunch with a few keepers mixed in.

I launched at Mutton today and the water was fine around there. My suggestion is to throw senkos/flukes in pockets around the bushes and you should catch all the buck bass you want with an occasional decent one. I threw a blade and flipped a jig today and caught a lot of fish. Also, I have heard the crappie are very shallow but I didn't mess with them. Good luck this weekend!

cast some chicken liver on the bottom and hang on!!!! Sorry I like catfishing everybody else on here likes Bass fishing. I dont know why but thats my opinion and fallow them cranes that are carrying off 13 in. crappie !!!! ha ha I like ha ha not lol, Im serious I follow them birds they know more than we do. They know were them fish are they dont call me Huckfinn for no reason... Nature gotta love it. Get that fish finder workin on that boat and show that Army boy how to fish there big boy. Keep it simple and you will run into fish at Stockton. Go with your gut feelings. And let the good times role. There is more than one species of fish in that lake. Huck
