Dave Cook Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Thanks for the pics. Knowing it is at record levels and then seeing it - is something else. Are they sandbagging Branson Landing? Dave Cook Missouri Trout Fishermen's Association - Kansas City
Members greyscud Posted April 26, 2011 Members Posted April 26, 2011 Great pictures, It really makes your heart go out to everyone near this lake. I hope loss of property is not too bad and that all keep safe. Anyone have an idea how many cfs are flowing into the lake from all the streams and Beaver?
troutfiend1985 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 I just can't believe those pictures, I hope everyone is safe. Looks like there is more rain coming on the radar. Be safe everyone. “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
barredrock Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 how sad,,,, makes me wonder how bad would have flood been with no Dam???
Members timr0123 Posted April 27, 2011 Members Posted April 27, 2011 We went down to the south end on the Landing today. The south half of BPS parking lot is closed and mostly under water. We parked 100 feet south of the marina and water was within 5 feet of the parking lot. We didn't venture down to the fountain, but it looked like all was well there at that time when we drove by it. All the houses on the north bank of Taneycomo by the 65 hwy bridge were halfway under water. Very sad sight. The big houses on the north side of Taney and across from the 165 hwy scenic overlook are starting to flood also.
Members pinecone Posted April 27, 2011 Members Posted April 27, 2011 Regarding the first picture from the hatchery, is that erosion on the back side of the dam from water running under hwy 265? Not sure I can tell what's going on and why 265 is closed. Jerry
