Jdecoudres Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I take it that when I am in town this weekend there isnt going to be anywhere to fish????? I see the pics of taney you guys are posted looks bad!
Brian K. Shaffer Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I would say that just about anywhere you find water, its gonna look like chocolate milk. You could still try to fish.... but I wouldn't myself. Our little slice of heaven here is probably blown out for 2-6 weeks depending. Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Jdecoudres Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 Yea thats what i figured! Dont sound arkansas is going to be any better from what im reading. That kind of sucks!
flytyer57 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 The last time I checked, Bull Shoals was 20' over power pool and about 10' from the top of flood pool. I would imagine they are going to have to start dumping water pretty soon to make room for what's coming out of Taney and Table Rock. Norfork was 21' over power pool and with the turbines down, there's no telling what' gonna happen there but best guess is they are dumping water. I drove up to Pigeon Creek on Norfork earlier today and the area is closed due to flooding and the water is mud brown. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
