It's been a long day and got to be up in 4 hours, but gonna do a really quick report

lake is high, and getting higher. water temp has dropped to 56, but main lake color is perfect. rivers are muddy

walleye are awesome on crappie jigs with crawlers in 12-20 foot of water on steeper banks and points. we had 11 keepers in 2 hours today, well yesterday now.

crappie are on the old bank and are hitting jigs and minnows. bite has slowed but they are still hitting.

Got to love this lake!!!!

I recently found this site while planning a trip to Stockton. My dad first took me to Stockton back in the mid 70s.I have always enjoyed Stockton it is a beautiful lake and you never know what you are going to catch. My passion though is those finicky walleyes. I try to get down about 5 or 6 times a year. I was there on the weekend of April 16th and 17th. We caught a few keepers on jig and crawler combos then the wind blew me off the lake I have found it interesting to view this site to get up to date reports. I am thinking of coming down on Saturday,i usually fish the North end any advice? Nice pics of the family and fish. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for the note Fred. If you ever need any info or would like to take a guide, feel free to give me a call. I know times are hard, so if all you can afford is free information, I can give you some of that to... If I had to pick something from the north end, hit points around state park, the long tapering points off of maize and and locate some humps and flats they will hold walleye.

Feel free to give me a call anytime.
