Members Pflugradt Posted May 5, 2011 Members Posted May 5, 2011 Hey all you people out there. We have an upcoming fly tying class in St Joe. It will be every Monday and Thursday Night in June and will be 100% free (yup that's right everyone's favorite 4 letter "F" word FREE) for you. It will be held at the Northwest Regional Conservation Office 701 James McCarthy Dr. St. Joseph, MO 64507. We will be starting class at 6pm and should go to right around 8pm or shortly there after. There will be a limit of 25 seats for the class so if you are planning to attend please call the office at (816) 271-3100 to reserve your seat. There is no need to bring anything but yourself and a ready to learn attitude to the class as we will provide all of the tools, materials, hooks, and anything else you may need to tie with. If you have a vice I personally suggest you bring that so that you can become more familiar with it as the class progresses but that is not necessary. Also all of the flies you tie during the classes will be yours to keep and take home to begin filling your boxes with. We will begin with some basics of tying for those that may have little or no experience and will be touching all kinds of different techniques and flies from general trout patterns, to gill and crappie flies and even some larger streamers and bass flies. Lots of potential to learn different techniques, get a good start in tying and generally have a good time here. I really hope to see some of you there. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me at scubas1981@yahoo.com Steve Check out my warm water flytying and flyfishing how to.
