SWPA showed no generation for Friday so if it shows none for Saturday and Sunday would it be worth a try to drive 3 hours this weekend to go? I don't want to drive that far and end up with them dumping water. The lake still is high so I dunno. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I'd say its a crap shoot on when they might start dumping more water. I'll try to get a first hand observation from a friend who fishes it most days.

Adam, The thing to remember is that Southwest Power is only part of the situation. The Corps of Engineers also have a say on whether the dam releases water or not. Unfortunately their decision is not published that I can find. With the lake as high as it is I would imagine that there will be some sort of release of water during the three days you listed. I have lived here now for 4 years and find that the only sure way to know is to just go look at the river and call the phone number at the dam to see if indeed they are running and if not when the last time they did. If you do not have that number it is 501-362-5150, you will get a recording that will provide up to date information.

Got this from Maddog

There is nothing scheduled for generation thru Monday. They did not run today and I had a ball. I only fished a couple hours but caught a bunch of fish. A size 16 caddis midge worked super .. at one point 12 fish in 13 casts.

Thank you Sir! I head up today after work and have a cabin rented near cow shoals. Any advice on night fishing there? I won't be getting in till about 7pm and have the whole day Sunday to fish. Thanks again buddy.
