Members teacher Posted May 10, 2011 Members Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks Quillback, may try to fish walleye on that end of the lake weather permitting! "Teacher" walleyepro69@gmail.com
jeb Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Temps were anywhere from 66-70 in the Lost Bridge/Indian Creek area today. Water is still pretty clear in most places. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

jeb Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Was out yesterday, in the PC and Ventris areas. Water temps were anywhere from 56-62, which makes more sense to me. It was hard to beleive Beaver had gained 10 degrees of water temps in a few days. So just surface temp variations depending on the sun/weather. Water is still very stained/dirty. 1' visibility max. Caught some nice fish, all very shallow. Not sure if they're spawning or just getting ready to, though. The big one, 5.5lb, was for sure still full of eggs and came out of about 1' of water. Members teacher Posted May 18, 2011 Members Posted May 18, 2011 Spahog, is the ramp at Lost Bridge South usable? It's about a 1 1/2 hour drive so I'd like to know before going over! If anyone else knows, they can respond. I hope to catch some walleyes. The water out of PC to Rocky Branch is still very stained and the walleye bite is tough to none existence. I'm hoping the lower end of the lake might be more productive. Any other walleye fishermen out there? Any reports that could help? Good fishing to all! "Teacher" walleyepro69@gmail.com
Stump bumper Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I am not a walleye fisherman but found a few keepers back in the trees behind PC with a lot of whites looking for largemouth. Seemed to me there were more eyes than largemouth in 3 to 4 feet of water in flooded trees and brush where I thought the bass would be hanging out. Flipping heavy brush is not a way I would usually look for waleye, but seems to be a good pattern right now.
Members teacher Posted May 18, 2011 Members Posted May 18, 2011 Thanks Stump bumper! That's one area I haven't tried yet but seems very logical. I may try pitching jigs tipped with a half crawler up in the shallows. I hope we don't get too much more precip... "Teacher" walleyepro69@gmail.com
jeb Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Lost Bridge North is for sure open. The only problem is the very end of the dock walkway is about 3' short of the shore. So you might get your feet wet getting from the truck to the dock. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
