I-40 Closed Due To Flooding Along The White River

I've been traveling this stretch of interstate my entire life.

My dad made the trip from Memphis yesterday, it took 7 1/2 hours.

That's a 4-5hr trip usually.

Never has it been closed due to flooding.

There are reports the White has topped its levee system near DesArc, another first.

It's not expected to crest for a few days.

I hope Bull shoals can hold back it water for months, b/c there's nowhere for this water to go but up.
