emjay Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Get them while they are HOT guys! Absolutely killed and limited out on whites. Saw monster hybrids get pulled out and crappies were iching every cast. Was out there yesterday and they ran only a little water but man the fishing was good! Saw a bunch on topwater action on the west side. They were using chartreuse spooks and just nailing them every cast. Saw a few other guys pull out some hybrids that had to be in the 7-10lbs. I was unlucky that I didnt bring my topwater gear since I didnt think they'd be hitting near the surface yet but man did I luck out. Between me and my buddy we must of caught over 60 whites, 20 crappies, and 5 small hybrids. Cant wait to get out there again, this time I'll be sure to bring my topwater gear. P.S. they hit on the east side around 3-6pm near the little drainage area. However that same time they are hitting topwater on the west side from the fence on down before the lagoon. You need to get there a little early since the shorelines are already lining up. So you have to decide what action you want HAHA.

I'm definitely going to make it down this weekend, hopefully they'll still be as hot. The best time to fish is when it's raining . . . and when it's not!
