Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Water temp dropped back to about 62. Water level was still about 5.5 foot high, and the water clarity was just about perfect. If you want to catch crappie they can be found from the shallows to 30 foot of water. If you fish the deep fish, locate them on your graph, and then either vertical fish them or cast and slow roll the jig back through the school of crappie. The wind blew us off of our fish today, but we had some really big fish suspended about 15 foot down in 30 foot of water on minnows. Couldn't get them to hit a jig, which really drives me crazy. there are still some crappie in the shallows, but these fish seem to be a little smaller. Walleye are hitting jigs and crawlers in 20 foot of water on main lake points. they didn't hit as good today for us, but they are there.. We had one fish that went about 3 lbs. Bass are hitting texas rigged lizards and jigs in the brush out to about 8 foot of water. had several fish that were 14+ and 3 keepers yesterday on a trip. They were prefishing a tournament so we didn't hang out after catching the keepers. Also hitting black and blue jigs up the sac river past greenfield access. Catfish will be heading to the creeks to feed. use shrimp and night crawlers and if the water is running in, you should catch some fish. Been sick for a week now, and had to fish everyday...Can't complain though, it could be a lot worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone and give me a call if you need any help!!
