ozarkgunner Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I floated on both Sat. and Sun and had a blast both days. The fish were nailing cranks. The fishing was best on the lower river, but the upper James produced some nice fish Sunday afternoon. The bite is strong. White works well in the dirty water. Lots of Smallmouth on the lower river. Not wanting to give out too many more details. Angler At Law
RSBreth Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Hey - it's enough info for me. Good to see someone's getting out - I've been swamped with work and other problems.
vonreed Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Me and my son have been bluegill fishing the last week on the James and have been doing extremely well also. We caught one yesterday that was 9 1/2 inches long and almost as wide. We weighed it on the kitchen scale and it weighed 13 1/2 ounces. Thats the biggest I've ever caught on the river. We've also caught some that were almost that big.
