Members d. Wright Posted May 18, 2011 Members Posted May 18, 2011 coming down 04 June. Should i leave point 9-11 and head farther to point 5-7? Please help. My wife wants to catch a big bass or catfish on limb line.
Members skipjack Posted May 19, 2011 Members Posted May 19, 2011 I would just try staying in the clearest water you can find. Typically going up the James towards 11 and up will be more muddy or stained. From what I've noticed the fishing seems to be better the closer you get to the dam, where the clearer water is. Watch what the rain does and that should give you a clue with runoff and water clarity. Don't discount the James though, but you better be a good caster who can get shallow and not worry about a few scratches on the boat. My 2 cents for what its worth.

Members d. Wright Posted May 19, 2011 Author Members Posted May 19, 2011 Thanks for the advise. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work!
