Anyone been out of Gages Marina/Long Creek lately? I would like to launch there tomorrow but have not been on that end of lake since the devastation. Can anyone let us know what the water condition and clarity is around Gages? Thanks in advance for the help and information.

The boat launch is still out of commission as far as I can tell. There isnt even really a parking lot. The water looks a lot better but there is a lot of trash floating around still. Be careful out there. If I were you I would probably put in at the state park now that the Dam is open.

Well heres the deal. Gages Marina is still in bad shape. Though probably not advisable there is one lane open for launching at the north end of the campground. Three of us launched there today. Be prepared to wear sandals or hip boots because you will need to wade out and move all the drift wood out of the way to launch and to trailer upon return. The water clarity is nice and stained in this area though I did not bass fish I was on a bluegill mission which was not that successful.

PS: The main lake is pretty clear in this area but do be advisable of the occasional floating debris, it's still out there and some just under the surface and hard to see. I took on no boat damage but had to do some last second dodging several times.
