Members cself Posted May 24, 2011 Members Posted May 24, 2011 I saw on radar that the storm that went through Joplin this pas weekend went near cassville, did you guys get hammered or is the water still in decent shape? I'm heading down regardless on Thursday, just curious. Tribal Outdoors Release a Lunker, you never know when a little kido will be the next one to catch it!
Steve Smith Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 I'll drop down there at lunch and let you know. Monday it was rolling pretty good and looked like they emptied the campground. I'd advise you to call Tim's fly shop, but he's closed today. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO

River came up a bit last night, go to my face book page, I've got pics posted there, upper end is more fishable than the lower section http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?cb_00065=on&cb_00060=on&format=gif_default&period=1&site_no=07050152 The gauge should help Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop

Steve Smith Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Ran through the park at lunch. The campers are setting back up and no rain yet today. Lots of water still flowing through the lower end [coming out of Dry Holler]. The gage site says it's dropping but didn't look like any less flow to me than Monday. The old dam hole looked the same anyway - about six feet or more high. Right on about the upper end being fishable, but it's all murky. We got another inch last night ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
