Members tmoney Posted May 29, 2011 Members Posted May 29, 2011 Will be bass fishing Indian point this weekend. Never fished this part of the rock before. Any advice? I hear Bill says to fish the rock run out la on points but with the water up and the fact that I've never seen this part of the lake before I'm pretty much in the dark as to were those points are. Guess I'll flip in the brush with a pbj fb jig? I have a feeling the main lake points are going to be pretty rough with all the holiday traffic so I'm guessing I'll have to stay in the coves a little bit to keep from getting bucked off the boat:)
Chris King Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Not much help now, but I fished the Indian Point area Saturday evening 5:30-8:30 and had five fish. All were right at 15" Kentucky's on topwater (popper), one on a grub. They were right at the edge of the tree line in ~15' of water. Water temp was 66 degrees Saturday. I fished again about 6:30-10 on Sunday night and didn't have a nibble. Switched from topwater/grub to a black spinnerbait after dark and still couldn't get anything. Boat traffic was pretty heavy so that might have shut them down. Water in the same place was 71 so it will warm up quick this week.
Members tmoney Posted June 1, 2011 Author Members Posted June 1, 2011 I caught a few Kentucky's and a small mouth on a watermellon candy baby brush hog flipping in the bushes. Caught one sm off a point with a PBJ jig.
