Members Jack Hollister Posted June 6, 2011 Members Posted June 6, 2011 Just found this link the other day but haven't tried it yet. Has anyone else used this approach? http://www.bassfishin.com/fishing-videos/baitcaster-backlash/ Great tip! Thanks for sharing. I have never seen this before and I wont forget it either. Ive had a few good ones in the past that I gave up on and just cut the line till I got it all off. Then put new line on.
hoglaw Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 it definitely works if you crank your drag all the way down (and don't forget to let it up again when you're done). If it's that bad, I generally just find the loop that's causing the problem, free spool, and just work the bad loop the other direction until it comes out.
