powerdive
On Table Rock, due to the population dynamics, it seems you can't go out walleye fishing and not catch bass. (I actually had about 5 lbs. of bass in a doubleheader last year, on a Reef Runner longlined at 30'. Thought I had the new world record 'eye coming in.) So, bass guys--how often do you pull in walleyes while bass fishing? Any types of spots/techniques that seem to make it happen more often?
Members waterdogg
Yes it happens quite a bit, usually along bluffs or main lake points. The color dosen't seem to matter but the longer deep diving crank baits seem to get more attention from the walleye than the short fat ones. This has been my experience from shell knob to eagle rock. During a family fun tourney about 5 yrs ago, one of the guys caught a 8.63 wally near turkey mountain. A beautiful fish that was delicious. Martin
Powerdive, I have always avoided the bluff side when walleye fishing, but I may be missing 1/2 of the good area's....? As you know, rps fishes the bluff side alot with good sucess. I hope you get many more replies.
rangerman
Done better on bluffs on outside bends than anywhere else. Mostly suspended in the trees. This even goes for the spring time up in the river arms.
Tfsh4bass
When the water is normal I usually catch several walleyes cranking main lake points for post-spawn bass in June...mostly from Joe Bald to Big Creek. Last year I caught some good ones suspended in trees on swimbaits in June but I haven't caught any yet this year doing that. I have never caught one on the other side of Kimberling City bridge and most are around Baxter.

Members lildave
I usually catch one or two each year in May on Texas-rigged finesse worms from Big Creek to the White/Kings confluence. My partner got a 20 incher in Big Creek last month
Members fishermedic
I caught a 6 1/2 pounder off a short steep point about a mile up river from eagle rock last year in september while bass fishing in the the evening all by myself. Thought I had a nice catfish the way it pulled toward the bottom as i worked it through the trees off the point. I was throwing a 1/2 ounce chomper jig in pbj with a green pumpkin zoom critter craw trailer, in about 16 fow. That's my biggest walleye ever and wasn't even fishing for them!
