Members Bill Y. Posted June 11, 2011 Members Posted June 11, 2011 Hey, I was talking to Jim at Fellows marina and he told me after the last flood some muskies went over the spillway at Fellows and are now in McDaniels Lake... Does anyone know anything about this, and how many muskies went over and now live in McDaniels??? I would like to fish McDaniels, but doesn't it have a bunch of restrictions and you can only fish it from a bridge?? Thanks.
dennis boatman Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 I'd guess zero are in McDaniel Lake... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 While it's certainly possible that some did, I don't know how anyone would know for sure. Unless it has changed you can only fish upstream from the bridge. You might want to concentrate on Fellows where they have a better population. I saw one caught by a child near the marina on Mothers Day, it was about 16-18" long and caught off of the bank. I suppose where there are little ones there could be bigger ones. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
