Thunderin Gobbler Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 This is a copy from an email I just got from the dept of Conservation. Thought I would throw it out there and see how it differs from everybody elses reports. Stockton: 75 degrees, high, clear; black bass good on rubber worms and jigs in 5' to 10' of water off points; catfish good on nightcrawlers and shrimp; crappie slow, best on minnows or tube jigs in 10' to 15' of water; all other species slow. (Report made on 6/14/2011)
zarraspook Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Where can I find some "RUBBER" worms????? I thought they quit making those in the late 50's........ "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
shockley32 Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 They are never all that accurate. Would like to know where they get their info. Went this morning - Walleye good using nightcrawlers off points, but are starting to transition to flats. Can catch from both locations. Crappie - good trolling cranks in 20-30 fow. Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
dennis boatman Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Had my BEST day ever on Stockton yesterday. I've been fishing this lake since it was opened. Bass were surfacing for about 2 hours in a cove and I would catch one EVERY time. Caught 20+, most being in the 15" range in less than 2 hours. Didn't matter what I threw at them they Slammed! it. Headed back Monday morning. BTW, waded the Osage Fork near Morgan on Wed. and got SKUNKED! Anyone been in that area lately. I hadn't been there in probably 15 years. I was very surprised to say the least. A strike indicator is just a bobber...

dennis boatman Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 It was overcast yesterday, but I started at 8am. I almost always put in at Hartley Boat Launch. I was thinking if the sun had come out, earlier would have been better. Monday, if it is forcast for sun, i will probably be out there by 6am. A strike indicator is just a bobber...
