Crappie Crankbaiting

When the crappie are suspended in 30-40 ft. of water, how deep are you trolling your crankbaits? Are you just using mono or lead line or bottom bouncers with the crank baits? We caught a few noce crappie today in brush, 30 ft. deep. Couldn't find the walleye to save my soul. Any info on the walleye would be appreciated.

On the walleye side of your question I've been fishing about 20' down on main lake points and been catching eating size 15" to 16" on spinner rigs an nighcrawlers attached to a BB. Check out Bob Bennett's posts he always knows where their at. Good luck

Sorry Bob, I got your last name wrong earlier in the day.

the walleye have been a little elusive for the past few days. they have been on main lake points, and a very few on the flats and humps, but the last couple of days they have been missing. had a couple but nothing like they have been biting. i think they are in the transition to the summer pattern and they should be going again good in another few days.

on the crappie side of things the trolling has been the hot way to catch them, but lets not tell anyone about it because it gets to crowded with 20 boats going around in circles. lets just make something up like they are all on brush piles!! That should leave room for the rest of us to troll for them things.

And yea, i got some text about my last name being changed, but I hadn't seen it so that is ok!!

Remember, don't tell anyone about the crappie hitting so good while trolling!!! It has almost become fun to catch them!!
