johndarin Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Went out fishing this morning with my dad from about 8 until 12. We fished olive 1/8 oz jigs along the bluffs, mainly lookout, and also white marabou shad and a 1/100th oz egg. Most of the fish for me came on the olive jig up close to the bank at lookout. The fish are staying tight to the bank and some were still eating bugs off the top so a dry fly might still produce some fish but not very many. I think that most of the fish are over the drys. For my dad he was doing great on a white marabou shad dragging it on the bottom. The biggest fish of the day was a 20" rainbow on a 1/100th oz egg fly under a strike indicator just below outlet 3. We also caught some bluegill and 1 kentucky bass on the egg. I talked to a couple of other people that were fishing and they were using gray and brown scuds close to the bottom and doing well. There are a couple of new riffles that Phil has put some pics up of earlier this month and they would be great in 50mw generation to fish scuds. Here are a couple of fish from today!
