Where Are The Big Bass?

I've hit the main lake points and I've hit some of the bluffs with football jigs and worms, but all I catch are a few short bass on the points. I fished a tourney last weekend and the guys who won had 25 lbs of fish and they won the tourney the day before with 24 lbs of fish. Any ideas where they are picking up that quality of bass? I was out a couple days ago and saw what I thought was white bass chasing shad. When I cast to them I found out they were large mouth wolf packs feeding on the shad. Couldn't catch one unless they were busting on top. As soon as they hit the top I could throw in with a crank and catch one about every time. These bass were all shot though.
