HAHA! No worries. It wasn't directed towards you. Just Cricklet because his disclaimer was after his post. What good is that?! I shouldn't have put that big ole space in there to make it more clear it was towards him - my bad. I actually like checking your punkin' threads. They are pretty amazing. And plus I am at work so what else am I going to waste my time on??? :D

I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.

When do you start them?

Wayne, I start them in mid April indoors and transplant outside within 10 days. If you want big ones, you need to grow the Atlantic Giant variety and if just for fun you can get some seeds at Lowes. There are books written on how to grow monsters, but a couple quick tips are train all secondary vines from the main vine to run perpendicular from the main, only keep one pumpkin per plant, and bury both main and secondary vines at each node (where leaf stalk is attached and sencondaries shoot out) as they will sprout tap roots and the more roots the better. Good luck
