Billfo Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I stumbled on a 6 month old internet article about a proposed Nascar track at hwys 65 & 86 south of branson. Does anyone no the status this "Nascar" speedway ??? Thanks for any info. Billfo Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
bigredbirdfan Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 It's not a NASCAR sanctioned track nor has it secured any NASCAR sprint cup, nationwide or Craftsmen Truck races. It is unlikely that it will get any of those races. It has been approved by Taney County Planning and Zoning and is expected to be built.
Jason Essary Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Bigred is correct. I am sick of hearing that "we are going to have nascar races in branson in a couple years". Wish people would try to actually know what they are talking about before they open their pie holes. Billfo Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 I actually could care less if it was Nascar, an auditorium or even an amusement park- as long as it brings $ into the area good enough for me. Certainly didnt think I read anything into the article-perhaps the title threw me a curve.... But here it is. "The Article" Bigred is correct. Billfo Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Cool.. Like I replied to Jason, I just read the article & it mentions Nascar- I dont care if its a dirt figure 8, an auditorium for Motley Crue concerts or for rodeo's.. I am just excited to see business come to the area. More jobs for people is always good. Speaking of that hwy 65 & 86 intersection... what the hell is that pile of huge rocks resembling a retaining wall just north or so from that intersection. Looks like something went wrong .. It's not a NASCAR sanctioned track nor has it secured any NASCAR sprint cup, nationwide or Craftsmen Truck races. It is unlikely that it will get any of those races.
