Jdecoudres Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Looking at investing n a heaver rod to throw articulated streamers for big brown. Anyone have any good rod reviews for 8wt or so? Looking at tfo cicr 8wt. Anyone know anything about this rod?
Outside Bend Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 They're pretty fast rods, which can be a real asset when throwing big stuff- I have one I use for smallmouth and big trout flies, and really enjoy fishing it. Like most any rod, what it can do is really more limited by the angler's casting style than by the rod itself- your best bet is to try one out and see if it matches your style. <{{{><
flyrodman Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I've heard good things about All the TFO rods, not to mention their lifetime warranty. Luke Walz
Members Jack Hollister Posted August 11, 2011 Members Posted August 11, 2011 Bought 2 TFO Bug Launcher 5wt rods for my kids. They have had a blast with them this year. They are really nice rods. I currently use a Sage and a St. Croix. If I were in the market to purchase a new rod for myself….I would definitely check out the TFO line.
