So, It seems Ill be flying into Sheridan Wyoming on Wednesday the 31st. Ill be getting my fishing fix as much as I can. I love fishing all over Arkansas and Oklahoma...but the wild trout up north are second to none! This will be my 3rd time fishing in that area and Im hoping to improve on my last trip. Ive fished a few smaller streams in Wyoming, near Sheridan...but the best fishing was had at the Big Horn river in Montana. Wild Browns and Rainbows, many averaging over 18 inches. The hopper action is suppose to be really good this time of year. If any of you gentleman have any experience fishing up in that area, please give me some pointers or new spots to try out! Ill be sure to take plenty of pictures!

I have fished the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. What a wonderful place, great fishing! I've always fished the North Tongue River (full of cutthroat, brookies, and rainbows) and some other smaller surrounding streams that I won't name. That area is reminiscent of Alaska to me. Beautiful mountain meadows in all directions, moose everywhere, more trout water than you could fish in a lifetime. I'm sure you'll have a great trip. Now as I'm sure you know the fish up in the mountains as far as size goes aren't anything like in the Bighorn River...But the scenery more than makes up for it.

Oh yeah. The view was amazing! Made a 4-5 mile hike up into the mountains to some lakes that arent fished very often and fished the small streams leading in and out of the area. Caught lots of little Brookies and a few cutthroat. The weather was cool, but not cold. Just needed a light jacket.BIG change from the 90+ days we were having here in NWA. Im happy with the weather we're having now...but Id much rather be back in the mountains! Thanks for the info, Ill keep it in mind when I go back up there!
