Now, this is what it is all about. Liv had her first visit to Dry Run today, and had a great time. At 4, she is just figuring out what fishing is all about, but I had her roll casting better than my wife.

Actually, she caught two about like this. The second she caught all by herself. These two were approx 19" and very healthy.

My son had a couple of much better fish on, but broke one off in the backing, and had one snapped off by another trout trying to take the fly.

Perfect way to end the summer. School starts tomorrow!

Nice job jorob. The few times I took my kids there they had a blast. Watching one of my kids reel in a fish on their own is more fun than catching a fish myself. If anyone wants to get their kids into flyfishing for trout, this is an excellent resource!

John,

That is Stellar. It just so happens Sandy and I were coming back from East Ark yesterday and stopped at Quarry Park about 4:30 yesterday. We walked down to those falls on Dry and saw nice size rainbows (I think) don't think they were browns trying to migrate up the falls. Isn't it too early for that to happen.

Actually, Ryne had two really nice browns on, but they both broke him off. Easily 22+. Didn't see a great number, and the ones he caught were in deep pockets, but they were there.
