Brian Sloss Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 een guiding more lately and the fishing has been good. The last three trips have produced well on 3 different things each day. The common denominator has been fishing deep and at the back end of the shoals, though we have been getting them through the heart of the shoals as well, just more at the end where the river deepens. The first trip was grey and white 1/16th oz marabou jigs, 2nd trip was all about the Don's crawdad, and yesterday the stonefly ruled. The Hex nymph has produced, but the way it normally does this time of year. They are around, but the fish have not been as aggressive to them as they usually are this time of year. All three trips have produced between 40-60 fish with a few 16-17 inchers in there and 2 18 inchers landed. We had one very large trout hooked that was not landed yesterday on the stonefly. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
