Guest Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 We floated from Deep Ford to Pineville, about 4 miles. Got on the water about 2pm and off around 7pm The public access at Deep Ford is tough. The floods moved the river channel 300 yards across the gravel bar. We weren't prepared for that. The fishing was excellent. The 4 of us caught over 70 smallies. Most of which were tiny. We had 5 over 15" collectively with the biggest about 17" long. We dragged and walked beside the canoe more than we floated in it. A kayak would be ideal. You could wade the whole stretch, but not after getting a leach on my leg and poison ivy. It was a perfect day for enjoying the oudoors with my lovely wife and good friends. This is our last float together for a while. As, we found out that Cindy's pregnant with our first child. So excited!!!

drew03cmc Posted October 10, 2011 Posted October 10, 2011 Congratulations. That is one of my favorite creeks and you fished below where we did over the summer. Above there, the four of us had probably 300 fish between us in a 6 mile float. Very productive water. Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself...Take the kiddo on the same float buddy! Andy
fishinSWMO Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Congratulations! Everything changes when you have that first kid, but you can't wait to take them fishing! Jeremy Dodson
