Members burninworm Posted October 11, 2011 Members Posted October 11, 2011 Started at Barclay first light, was wading. misjudged my depth and one bad step later filled my waders before my first cast. Fast forward 45 minutes after a change of clothes and a good shiver in the minivan. Only managed a couple of bites on an beadhead olive bugger, switched to a crackleback, did a little better but no fish to hand. Switched to the Bennett access, 5 fish in 20 minutes, on a smaller olive bugger. Then I had to go. I wish I didn't have only 6 hours to fish on my day off but the final score was Trout - 3, Burninworm - 5 that's all that counts. Bennett access gets the save. All trout released immediately unharmed, biggest fish around 15". Picked up some trash, but all in all I've seen the river in a lot worse shape. I wish we would get some rain. Anyone know how much came down near Bennett this afternoon? We need a soaking if only to improve the odds a little.
