First Trip of the Year

It's been over a year since I've been back to Missouri's #1 rated state park and I am so excited about going down next Wednesday I am about to burst. Been tying flies, nymphs, mini-jigs, streamers for six months in anticipation of this trip.

I've been going to Bennett off and on for over thirty years and I always feel the same way before each trip. I know I will catch a lot of fish and have a great time with my family as well as enjoy the new poeple that we'll meet.

This will be the first year that my 1.5 year old gets to fish in zone three with his Scooby Doo rod and reel and I can't wait to see him progress like his older sister and brother into fly fishing. I'm building collecting the compoments to build hime a 9' 5wt.

I'll leave a report in a couple weeks.

Hey Greg,

Make sure that you have a few black and brown #18 and #20 tungsten bead head zebra midges in your box.I would also make sure you have a good supply of cracklebacks in #12 and the next size down.
