fishbait3 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 i was just wonderin what part of the lake would be good for crappie fishing, or would i need to stay up in the river.
emjay Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 I would be surprised if you even caught a crappie in lake springfield. Given there should be some in there but my guess is the population has dwindled down to very few. Try McDaniels, there's a good amount there but with the heavy pressure from fisherman they are quite small.
RSBreth Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 There's good numbers of Crappie in Lake Springfield - I haven't really got a good pattern on them in Fall though. I would try any deeper timber on steep banks out of the current.
