Members evnrude18 Posted November 9, 2011 Members Posted November 9, 2011 I went Sunday... and even with some trolling motor battery issues, still went and braved the wind and overcast skies. I thought for sure it would be a good day to catch some bass, but caught not a one. Threw spinnerbaits and wiggle warts. Probably still too warm of water temps for the wart bite to start, 56 degrees around the Mutton Creek area. Fished standing timber, from 1 foot to 30 feet. Showed some suspending fish on the graph but could not get them to bite. There was a couple guys fishing very shallow with what appeared to be spinnerbaits in the early afternoon. Looked to be all shorts though, right on the bank... secondary points and small cut-ins. Good luck on your tourney, who is putting it on?
Members OnPlane Posted November 9, 2011 Members Posted November 9, 2011 Take a look at the Anglers in Action web site and look at "Results" for Sunday's Tourney at Stockton. YES there were some fish caught. I actually fished it and didn't do too bad....till we heard the results of the limit that "crushed" the field. Those fellas had em covered....Just look at the differences in weights as you go down the list. Large grouping of limits of 10-12 pounds.
Members evnrude18 Posted November 10, 2011 Members Posted November 10, 2011 Spoke today with a guy that fished that same tourney on Sunday... white and purple spinnerbaits were the trick. A lot of shorts, but had a limit none the less. If you did not cast on the bank and drag the bait in, you had no chance on the limit fish. Not sure where the kickers were caught, but if you can get a limit you can go hunt thereafter. Good luck bro!

I Bass Tourney fish Stockton this time last year. I fish super shallow in back of flat pea pockets that had Big Gizzard Shad. I threw a Big Spinnerbait with a #7 WillowLeaf Gold. I wake bait on top. I caught quality fish up to 6 lbs. Bassin' Bill
