Justin Spencer Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Hopefully water will come up with this rain coming in, but egg season is upon us. Fished the last two days and caught lots of bows up to 17" on eggs, color doesn't matter. Pinch the barbs down since you will catch lots of fish. stlfisher Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 The urban stocker rainbows in St. Louis have been hitting them very well last week or so. I just hate casting those things into the wind after they get waterlogged.
Justin Spencer Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 Got skunked today, fished a few hours out in front of campground, had one little brown on, but the bite was off. Can't remember the last time I worked that hard and brought nothing to hand. Found a few good spots for otter and beaver traps though. Water looks pretty good, still very clear.
