Brian Sloss Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Took Brett and chad from Arkansas out to chase some smallmouth today. Fishing was good again today. They drifted 1/16th oz marabou jigs under indicators on 6 wt fly rods in ginger, white, white and grey, and olive and burnt orange about 5 to six ft deep. Great guys and the fishing was good. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
LittleRedFisherman Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Sure was Brian, thanks again for today, that was great. This guy is a first class guide! I may have to ice my wrist down from catching so many smallies..lol. Chad is in the process of looking for a flyrod, he's hooked. Beautiful river, good company, and a perfect winter day!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Justin Spencer Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Let Chad know it isn't always that easy. Maybe not the best way to start fly fishing, you will never equal it! LittleRedFisherman Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Yeah, that is true, and he knows that i'm sure, but he's wanting to expand his horizons a bit. I've been trout fising with flyrods for awhile, but never seen a 6 wt bend like it did yesterday. That will spoil ya for sure!! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Justin Spencer Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Glad you had fun, for me I got to where I just wanted to kick back and drink a beer, didn't care if I caught another fish. Everyone deserves that once in a while.
