BrianS Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 The fishing has been really good in December. Yesterday We had 10 keepers fishing the mid lake area around Buck and Big Creeks. Fish are 10 to 45 ft deep. We are catching several on main lake bluffs on gitzits, spoons and jigs. If the wind is blowing hard you can fish crankbaits parallel down the bluffs. The creeks and pockets have better fish on the flatter gravel points around 40 ft deep. Big jigs and spoons are catching these fish. Its good to finally see some Kentuckies. This is the only time of year I like to bring fish home to eat. Something about fresh fish coming out of cold water really makes them delicious. I brought these home for supper last night. BrianS Posted December 18, 2011 Author Posted December 18, 2011 Check this out, my fishing buddy even spooned up a big drum yesterday. This pic was taken on his side of the livewell. We both got to bring home fish for supper. HOOK 'EM HORNS
