Members asap52 Posted December 27, 2011 Members Posted December 27, 2011 Hey members, I'm getting in the mood to do some trout fishing and was wondering if anyone has been having any luck. What areas seem to be holding fish and what flies have been working for you. I haven't been to the LIR since the coffee stained water and the fish kill so any info you can provide will be appreciated and used! Tight lines, Corky Morgan
DaddyO Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I almost decided to go today. Instead, I did a few honey do's around the house and finished up some flies for a fly swap. I'd like to see no generation earlier in the day or if the turn it of around noon, I'd like to see it stay off until 6pm or 7pm. Then I'd make the trip to go fish. I'm hoping that I see that schedule in the next day or so. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.

dgames Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I went today and got about 3 hours in. Fishing was pretty ridiculous. I have been doing well drifting a small bead head brown wooly bugger looking thing. I started off with midges fished on a short dropper, but that wasn't getting much. As soon as I changed to the bugger thing with a little deeper drift, it was hits on most casts for quite a while.

I think I'll head up about noon and see what I can do. dgames u said "fishing was pretty ridiculous".....in what way do you mean?? I'll take my camera and give u guys a report on my day tomorrow night. Tight lines, Corky

Members Nathanael Posted December 28, 2011 Members Posted December 28, 2011 I have the website that shows generation but it only seems to be that day. Do they have one that shows predicted generation for several days in advance?
DaddyO Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 This is the link that you are looking for.Generation Schedule It will only give you one day in advance except for Friday and then it will give you Sat,Sun and Mon. You need to check it after 5pm for the following day's schedule. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
