Well guys, another year is behind us...and what a year it was.

The North Fork of the White was a big fish heaven in 2011, add a nice Eleven Point rainbow, big Eleven Point Smallmouth (both from Brian Sloss's boat), some big fish from Dry Run Creek, and a trip to the North Woods and I can't imgagine much of a better year.

And people wonder why we love living in BFE!

   I know!

Can't believe I forgot to mention White Bass fishing with Justin Spencer......until THE storm about knocked us off the water, wow, we were stupid.

That may be my fault, Gates and I were on the water when the tornado hit the river a few springs ago, and I evidently didn't learn my lesson from that. Took us until the next day to retrieve his truck down at Kelly due to all the trees down. Always seems to be one cast left before the lightning gets too close, can't think of a better way to go!

Good work again Wise. I know why you and Justin live down there! Unfortunately my wife doesn't know why though. Is that Dr. Marty from Jeff City at the beginning of the video with the big brown?

It is! That trip was one I donated to Mid-Mo TU. I had been telling them about the streamer bite we had and preparing them to throw big streamers. There comes a point when you lose some guys if they haven't had an eat in a couple of hours but David just kept pounding the water, not the greatest caster in the world---but he was determined and stuck with it (which means as much or more than being a good caster)and man.........I thought it was a striper when it ate, seriously. Had to use the boat to help him roll it so we could do something with it, and that is with an 8wt. Epic fish...

Last time I talked to him he was at the Taxidermist working on a reproduction of it. :)
