Fishing Report 1/15 -1/17

First, thanks to Phil, his family and the staff at Lilley’s Landing for another great trip. As usual the lodging and service was outstanding and you just can’t beat the Fishing Buddy Special.

I took two of my friends for their first experience at Tany and we were not disappointed. All of us were looking forward to just getting away from the city for a few days of relaxation and fishing. The weather cooperated and so did the fish.

Fishing from the dock and at the dam was good the entire trip. We used our ultralites and did well at both locations. At the dam we threw mostly egg flies and super dupers, catching and releasing slot size trout. The action was excellent the whole trip.

When we decided to take a limit the final day we had no problem using gulp eggs, power bait and worms fishing from the dock.

To all the readers of the forum who may not have taken advantage of the Fishing Buddy Special I would say make it a point to do so in the future. As one writer said in an earlier post, you almost feel guilty paying such a low tab upon leaving. It really is the perfect getaway. Thanks again.
