slow slow slow... fished about 8 hours, landed 3 fish- all over 12", lost 2.

i came in at cardiac around 6 hoping for some dry action, but i never saw much in the way of rises to the small trico hatch. caught one on a daves hopper later on, so there was a little surface action. one thing i noticed when i did hook up was that none of the fish really fought, they just went to the bottom and shook their heads a little.

canoers weren't bad, but i had one guy park his boat right above where i was fishing and start casting a 6" rapala right across where i was trying to fish.

fishing might have been slow, but i couldn't have asked for a better day, plus the critters were out and i got to see both a muskrat and a mink play around for a while.

i almost forgot, i got the hopper and some advice from another fisherman. its acts like that that make fly fishing better and more enjoyable for newer, less experienced fly fishermen... thanks
