Fishing Report

[Roaring River Veteran]

I made it down to the river Saturday and got a little fishing time in. My wife's cousin was camping so while the women folk went to the sidewalk sales in town The men folk got to fish. Her cousin had never used a fly rod so I set him up with a 8' 4wt and a #16 burlap. We all used 7x line. He caught 6 or 7. while he was fishing the burlap I threw some woollies and griffis gnats. I caught a bunch-o-fish on black and black and tan woollies. I also found a couple of large fish. I found one that was probably 8lbs but I couldn't get him to hit, but I did break off a 5 or so lb'r. There were a lot of fish in the water this weekend. especially in the narrow area above the last hole of the fly area.
