Did some capming at Stockton this past weekend, and went fishing all day on 9/9. The fish were biting very well. We camped at Orleans Trail so I fished the lower part of the lake, all the way to the 215 bridge. Heading south towards the 215 bridge, I fished the points, seondary points, and coves arallel to the right(west) of the island. An 8 feet diving crawdad colored crankbait was catching nice size smallies (2 lb). Later on in the day, I went under the 215 bridge and I was throwing a 7 inch motor oil worm. The bass were hitting it on the drop at about 10 to 15 ft. I made about 3 passes around the column (last column on the far east side of the bridge) I was fishing and I'm convinced I could have just sat there all day getting hits. I caught my biggest bass on the rock bank near the column I was fishing.
