getfished Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Hey guys, I haven't posted here for quite a while. I am no longer living in Totoland but my residence now hails from the heart of country music, Nashville. Anyway I saw an article recently in the Nashville Tennessean newspaper about a walley caught on Dale Hollow. A well known guide was fishing with clients and they had caught several nice walleye. There was a picture in the article and those fish were really good sized. One of them was a blue walleye . The article said the blue walleye species or strain was thought to be extinct since the 50's or 60's. I thought of you Randy, that you might like to hear or read this so I posted it here. Today we are getting light snow in Nashville. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/

Today we are getting light snow in Nashville. I never have fished Dale Hollow - or any of those TVA lakes in your new area. I've read tons about them over the years and understand they are fish factories. Blue walleye are evidently two types. One is a true genetic blue. The other has some kind of substance in its skin slime that makes it blue. The walleye boards have threads from time to time reporting blues and the discussion inevitably falls back to true blue versus posers. Regardless, they all seem to eat well. BTW, the dam hole below those TVA lakes are usually full of saugeyes and its the right time of year for them. Thanks for remembering me. Hope all is well.
