BackCastingGolfer Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I haven't been to the Little Red since I was a teenager and ony fished Cow Shoal then. I've been wanting to go back to the Little Red and take a friend that wants to catch some trout for the first time. Where would the best pace be to wade, and possibly take a newb? I thought about Cow Shoal but wasn't sure about he regulations, is it fly only all year or just from Oct-Dec?
LittleRedFisherman Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Cow shoals would be a good spot. Also there a pretty good place to wade fish at Libby shoals, which is just up stream from Lobo Landing. There's also some places to wade fish at JFK park just below the dam at Heber. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Jason R. Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I've always done the best up by the dam or at swinging bridge. The water below swinging bridge is always fun and the big hole is full of stockers. http://flyinthesouth.com/
