vonreed Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Very interesting. Me and a friend was trolling by the bridge below Swan Creek 2 yrs ago for walleye and white bass. Well after a 30 min fight on 6 lb test we landed a paddlefish. Probably about the same size as that one. I was told they are illegal to keep in Missouri on Bull Shoals though. We released it.
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 If I remember right a state record Brown came from BS and was caught in the mouth of Swan. It wasn't near as large as todays record however. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
rangerman Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Rob Caudel caught the state record you talk about, think it was like 34 pounds.
JohnP Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Seen about half dozen or so last year while bowfishing when the water was up in the fields below the dam. A couple that went 5 to 6 foot easily. I've also seen them Taneycomo in the past but only a couple.
