Members LarryS Posted March 7, 2012 Members Posted March 7, 2012 last I heard they are still needing boats...... Great way to help keep these young kids stay in the outdoors....our club in Leavenworth is aligned with the NWMSU team and working with these youngsters is a real thrill... Hope to see some of you Sunday taking these kids out.....
Members jmeador Posted March 7, 2012 Members Posted March 7, 2012 Have passed this info along to a few retired Army buddies, they have emailed but not heard anything back. I would love to have the oppurtunity to be a part of this but I am pretty sure my Nitro 180 F/S is a bit subpar for a large fish tourney ....
Cajunangler Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 My understanding is the $250 from FLW is the total compenstation for fuel, oil, etc. Even with the current cost of fuel I am hoping the guys I get don't want to run the entire 6 hours we are on the water. But if they do I only carry 33 gallons in my PII so that is their total amount allowed. If you have any additional questions you can contact Kevin Hunt at khunt@flwoutdoors.com Does anyone know if we will be able to utilize any boat slips at the State park for early launching? Kevin had suggested launching prior to a 6:30am meeting but I am not fond (nor willing) to pull my rig on the rocks. Just Curious what info others have heard.
Members Fat Boy Posted March 7, 2012 Members Posted March 7, 2012 I talked to Kevin today they are good on boats.
