Members phins Posted March 11, 2012 Members Posted March 11, 2012 Started at the bridge and worked my way upstream. Water seems cloudier further upstream than by the bridge. Fish are there and being caught but no real pattern or method is better than another one. The fish never really turned on just catch one here or there with nobody really having the secret that day. Fish just seemed hesitant to bite. Did however catch 8 using spinner lures and green jigs. No luck with the fly rod. Fish were of fair size and nice fighters. Ran into a buddy who said they had Golden Trout in the hatchery. I don't know if its' true or what the plans for them might be. Had to leave to early to check it out.
Members TroutMonster Posted March 28, 2012 Members Posted March 28, 2012 They are not "Golden Trout" or albino's they are rainbows. Just a genetic variation to give them a yellow color. I spoke with a hatchery worker and got the 411 on them..
