Me, my son and a buddy went fishing yesterday. We put in at River Run about 11 and fished almost down to Beaver creek and back. We ended up with 3 whites 2 crappie and 1 walleye. Had about 10 shorts of bass and walleye. We got back to River Run about 9ish and the cops were all over. A boat had demolished another boat after dark right there by Swan or the ramp. Part of it was at the ramp when we got in. We were told the boat was empty and possibly abandoned when it got run over, but I'm sure they were pretty shook up about it. Luckily they were in a very large aluminum boat and had no damaged that I could see.

Strange. Where did they think the boat came from and I wonder if they couldn't see it to avoid it how they knew it was empty?

Nobody knew where it came from. I was guessing up Swan possibly because it couldn't have come over the dam at Powersite without water coming over the top. They said they saw it at the last second and didn't see anybody in it. I saw something large floating when I came up the lake between the Barker hole and the bridge, but couldn't tell what it was, now I know.

Wait a min. I was down there last night too and heard all the cops, wondering what was going on. Earlier that day there were 3 guys on a.......a........well......i guess boat......it looked more like 1/2 a boat. Actually it looked more like garbage held up by styrofoam and they were paddling with boards, yes boards. It didnt look safe at all. I wonder if this was the "boat cut in half". It may have already been in half when it started. They launched it from below the dam on the river run side and we passed them when we were headed back from the dam to swan.

That was it! It had styrofoam inside of it when I seen it, but it wasn't floating anymore. It was sunk pretty much and drug up by the ramp. I hope them guys aren't floating down the lake somewhere. They probably just left it for someone else do deal with, but ya never know.

HA. I almost took a picture of that, wish I would have now. Highway Patrol worked that accident and I'm waiting for them to call me back.

There are no docks there so that was why I wondered where an empty boat would come from.
