Decided to brave the weather and head out for a full day of bass fishing. Left out of Bolivar access around sunrise and fished all of the area to the right of the dock down to the end (Stinking Creek?) After that we headed to the left (up the lake a tad) to an arm on the left side that has some docks and lots of trees. From there we headed up the lake.

We landed around a dozen largemouth, (and one 5-6 lb cat) most of which were caught in 'out of the wind' fingers and on points. It definitely wasn't optimum conditions for fishing, but it was fun.

We caught most fish on soft plastics:

Chompers Sinko - carolina rig

Chompers skirted grub - jig head

Gambler Craw - texas rig

- all Chompers and Gambler were Watermelon/pumpkin green with red

Jig n Pig (black and blue)

Others were caught on Sexy Shad square bill and Sexy Shad lipless and a white KVD spinner bait.

We had two keepers in the livewell at the end of the day - largest was only 3 lbs.

Fun day considering the weather.
