Members asap52 Posted March 24, 2012 Members Posted March 24, 2012 Does anyone know if Tenkiller is releasing water? The generation schedule shows no flow today or tomorrow........but that doesn't mean they're not letting water out with all the rain we've had. If anyone knows what is going on today or tomorrow please post. Tight lines, Corky
DaddyO Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 It appears to be off. The Lake level is up, but, maybe this year they are not going to panic and let it drain all the way down. It's possible that they may be doing standard release in preparation for a dry summer. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.

They didn't follow the shedule the other day, showing generation for most of it, and they didn't generate for most of it. I'm actually surprised the non stop around the clock flow hasn't begun. Maybe we will get to fish instead of waiting a month. I guess we will see. Okiemountaineer
Members okiebug Posted March 25, 2012 Members Posted March 25, 2012 I was out there a couple of times this past week, including this morning and they were following the schedule. Fishing was good, but not great. Algae is getting pretty bad already, making it a pain to drift a midge near the bottom. Last time i checked Tenkiller was nearly 10ft above normal, making me think that DaddyO is correct.
JCWolfe Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Someone said on TU's facebook that they were fixing something. I guess if thats the case when the continuous flow starts we will know it's fixed. I'm hoping it's what Daddy o said. Okiemountaineer
Members fishfeeder Posted March 26, 2012 Members Posted March 26, 2012 My son and I fished Saturday about 10-2, no generation as to schedule. We were north and south of the island about 1/3 mile down form the dam. Is there a name for this area? I caught several on 14 pink SJW and 10 brown woolly bugger drifting under indicator. My son's first fishing ever and he got one! He'll be back.

Members fishfeeder Posted March 26, 2012 Members Posted March 26, 2012 Sorry- I meant #14 SJW and #10 woolly buggers- only lost couple of flies
JCWolfe Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I knew what you meant, just being a smart *** Okiemountaineer
Members fishfeeder Posted March 27, 2012 Members Posted March 27, 2012 Fair enough, you had me going. On the generation, is there any chance of getting more advance notice of the generation schedule? Of course it would be subject to change. They publish Saturday, Sunday, and Monday on Friday evening. Couldn't they estimate for the whole week and then change it if they had to? It would make for easier fishing plans.
